The short version
We never track anyone in the background. Location is read once, at the moment a person taps check in, and only a yes/no "within range" result plus the distance is kept. We never sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers. Kids never need an email. You can export everything with one tap and delete your group any time.
What we store
- Grown-up accounts: name, email, a hashed password.
- Kids and staff added by an owner: a first name, an avatar, a hashed PIN. No email, no phone number.
- Group data you create: check-ins (time, type, whether the tap was within your home radius, the distance, an optional note or photo), chores, calendar items, messages, announcements, requests, schedules.
- Push subscriptions for devices that turned notifications on.
Location
When someone taps a check-in button, the phone asks permission and shares its position once. We compare it to the group's home location and store the distance and a confirmed / unconfirmed flag. We do not store a trail, we do not run in the background, and we do not read location at any other time.
Kids
Kids sign in with a family code, a first name, and a PIN chosen by a parent. We do not collect email addresses, phone numbers, or precise location history from children. A parent can remove a child and their data at any time from People.
Who can see what
Owners see everything in their group. Supervisors see their own team. Members in the family circle see the family feed. Staff see only their own schedule, their own check-ins, and messages with the owner. Nobody outside your group can see anything.
Your data is yours
Owners can export the entire group as a JSON file from Settings at any time. Removing a person stops their seat the same day. To delete your account and every group you alone own, tap More, then Delete my account, and it is gone instantly. Payments
Paid plans are billed through Stripe. We never see or store card numbers.
