No. Add them by name with a PIN. The app locks behind that PIN, so a lost phone shows nothing about your house. They sign in with the household code, their name, and the PIN, on their own phone.
The tap is saved anyway and flagged location unconfirmed. Offline taps queue and send later with the original time.
